iPhone asks you to wait 1 hour

Nothing is broken and you do not need to pay again. On iOS 17.4 and later, Stolen Device Protection makes the iPhone wait an hour before changing important settings — such as installing a profile or turning on Developer Mode — when you are away from familiar places like home or work.

The timer is set by the iPhone itself and cannot be skipped. Everything you have already done on the website is saved.

What to do

  1. Let the timer start. Confirm the message on screen to start the countdown. You can close Settings and use your iPhone as usual.
  2. Wait for the notification. After an hour the iPhone notifies you that the delay is over.
  3. Go back and finish the step. Open Settings and repeat the same action — installing the profile or turning on Developer Mode. Face ID may be requested again.

Still not working?

If the timer starts again, wait until it fully ends before repeating the action. At home there is usually no delay. Still stuck? Message us in Telegram with a screenshot.
