How to update or reinstall an app without losing data

The main rule: do not delete the app if you want to keep your data. A new version installed over the old one keeps everything — progress, settings and login.

What to do

1. Open the app in the catalog. The catalog always has the current version.
2. Tap Install. The iPhone updates the app over the installed one.
3. If iOS refuses to install over it. This happens with the App Store version. Then delete the old one — but first make sure your data is in the cloud or your account (banks and social networks keep everything on their servers).
